About Emerald Imports

Emerald Imports has been making cannabis derived terpenes in California since 2016. Our line, Lágrimas del Sol, comes in strain-specific live and cured formats. Every batch tests at 0.0% cannabinoids and ships with a full panel certificate of analysis. We sell wholesale to licensed cannabis manufacturers.

What we make

Lágrimas del Sol means "Tears of the Sun." We make it in two formats. Live terpenes are captured from fresh cannabis, which gives them the brightest top notes. Cured terpenes come from dried, cured flower and land on a rounder, more stable profile.

Nothing in either line is reconstructed from botanical isolates. It's derived directly from the plant, and every batch is tested to confirm 0.0% cannabinoids. You can see the full strain library here.

How we source and extract

We work with cultivators who grow organically in California's terpene belt. Extraction uses a cryogenic aroma-capture process, built to hold onto a strain's real profile instead of guessing at it. There's more detail on sourcing and testing on our California supplier page.

Recognition

The terpene technology behind Lágrimas del Sol didn't start here. It goes back to The Legion of Bloom, founder Marcos Gabriel Morales's earlier company, where the same formulation work picked up 13 placements at the Emerald Cup, High Times Cannabis Cup, and SF Weekly Best Of between 2016 and 2021, including two first-place wins.
